<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coded data storage/output device that can prevent deterioration in reproduction quality of an object of high importance, even when an output rate is decreased. SOLUTION: When storing coded data of a popular music show, the output device employs object coding to provide weighting to a singer and a background depending on the importance and outputs data coded by a plurality of coding rates respectively for the singer and the background individually to store the data to a code data storage device 21. When a transmission rate (output rate) is decreased at the output stage of the stored data, the data at the same coding rate or the lower coding rate are selected from the coded data of the singer with higher importance and outputted. Coded data with a higher coding rate reduction rate than the coded data of the singer are selected and outputted form the background coded data of lower importance.</p> |
