摘要 Procedure for measurement of rotational velocity of a rotor or motor by counting events such as signal pulses or flanks where there are a fixed number of pulses to a rotation and the total number of signal events is determined by multiplication of an integer number of rotations and the number of events per a rotation. Procedure has the following steps: measurement of rotating counter information begun at a first time point; a second time, after the first, is determined when the first counter event occurs; a number of events are counted; at a third time point measuring is stopped; a fourth time point after the third is determined at which the number of events from the second time point equals a/*A; from the time interval ( DELTA t) between 2nd and 4th time points is determined rotational velocity data. In the above a is an integer and A is the number of signal events occurring during one rotor rotation. An Independent claim is made for a device for determining rotational velocity of a rotor or similar.
