Adapter for hammer drilling machines

A drilling tool with adapter for hammer drilling machines is proposed, in which the tool shank of the drilling tool projects through the adapter for direct impingement by the hammer drilling machine. To keep down the overall length of the adapter and thus the weight of the adapter and of the tool, the adapter (9) is connected to the tool shank (2) via a thread, a connection which is fixed and free from axial play being provided. The adapter is used simultaneously for direct torque transmission to the drilling tool and as a stop for an optionally attachable conveying helix (see drawing). <IMAGE>
