Shoesole material having improved resistance to ageing, oil and chemicals is prepared by dynamic vulcanisation of a blend of styrene/butadiene or alpha -methyl styrene butadiene rubber and an at least partially crystalline olefin polymer at a temperature above the softening point of the olefin polymer. The compositions may also comprise other diene rubbers and styrene polymers.
