PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power converter capable of reducing problems associated with conventional designs, and keeping advantages associated with the efficiency of a full bridge topology. SOLUTION: This is a post regulator used on a power converter having an inverter connected to an output rectifier, an operating method thereof, and a power converter incorporating the post regulator, or an operating method thereof. This post regulator as one embodiment is provided with (1) a switching circuit which has at least one control switch, is connected to the output of the power converter, receives the output voltage from the power converter, and generates a phase-sifted waveform, and (2) a transformer which has a primary winding connected to the switching circuit and a second winding connected to the rectifier, and supplies the phase-shifted waveform to the rectifier in order to regulate the power converter, thereby preventing the inverter from being regulated.
