<p>A clip assembly (10) for attaching a personal communication device (16) to a garment belt, clothing item or vehicle interior. The assembly includes a first buckle half (18) through which a belt may be inserted and a second buckle half (20) connectable to the device or a case. The first half includes flexible legs (44) which engage as a male element with a female port (66) of the second half to lock together therewith. A user can push the legs together when the halves are interlocked to separate the halves. The clip assembly half that connects to the belt may have a flexible (35) or rigid loop (82, 98) and/or include a swivel (108) for pivoting about a pivot axis. The assembly is also attachable to a pant belt loop (110), extensions from a purse (figure 12), and an extension (131) within a vehicle.</p> |
