The invention relates to a controller, in particular, a decentralised control unit, comprising an operating/display unit for the controller which is located at a distance from the controller housing, whereby communication between the controller and the operating/display unit takes place via radio. To this end, both the controller (1) and the operating/display unit (2) are equipped with appropriate radio transmitters, radio receivers and antennae (5 to 8). The invention also relates to an installation comprising several controllers (1, 9, 10, 11), in which a remote operating/display unit (2) remotely controls/interrogates all controllers in a similar manner.
