The invention relates to a fuel injection valve (1) for fuel injection systems of internal combustion engines, especially for directly injecting fuel into the combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine. The inventive valve is provided with a magnet coil (8), an armature (11) which can be impinged upon by the magnet coil (8) in a lifting direction and against a first return spring (27) and a valve needle (13) which is connected to a valve closing body (14). The valve needle (13) is provided with a first stop (32) for the moveable armature (11) which is also impinged upon by a second return spring (40). Moreover, a stationary second stop (33) for the armature (11) is provided. The second return spring (40) impinges upon the armature (11) against the lifting direction and, in a rest position when the magnet coil (8) is not excited, maintains the armature (11) against the second stop (33) in such a way that the armature (11) is situated at a predetermined distance from the first stop (32) embodied on the valve needle (13). A connection component (16) can be embodied from a magnetic material and with a magnetic throttling point (56) or said component can be embodied from a non-magnetic material.
