The invention relates to a method for producing a frozen food product having enhanced coupling properties with microwaves comprising: providing a non-frozen food product, adding to the non-frozen food product an amount of carbon dioxide in dry-ice form, freezing said food product containing said carbon dioxide to obtain a frozen food product while allowing said carbon dioxide to sublimate and form gas bubbles distributed within the frozen food product. The invention also relates to a frozen food product comprising at least 3 % by weight of carbon dioxide in the form of gas bubbles distributed within the frozen food product. |
