Device for fastening of blank made of contact metal

The apparatus uses a blank holder which holds the contact metal blank (14) in a welding position (15). A controller then causes a relative approximate movement of the welding electrodes (26,28) long a line (32) until the carrier part (10) and the blank are pinched between the two electrodes. The blank holder is then removed from a dispensing position (A) and the welding current is applied. An assembly apparatus for welding small parts onto a carrier and a welding method are also claimed.
