Through-flow channel for transportation of melted glass melt and use thereof

In the present invention there is disclosed a through-flow channel for transportation of melted glass melt from the region of glass production to the region of forming thereof when producing sheet glass. The invented through-flow channel contains a groove (2) and a vault (7). In the channel there are distributed means (110) for heat treatment of glass melt and further means (150) for the glass melt thermal homogenization, which are located in the channel inlet section (12). The channel has the form without abrupt change of cross section and is in the inlet section (12) wider than in its outlet section (14), whereby ratio of the channel average height to the channel average width is less than 1 and preferably less than 0.5.
