The jacket (1) comprises two metal cylinders (3, 4) preferably made from stainless steel, which are fixed together by end pieces (5, 6) that define a cavity in between the cylinders, which is filled with an insulation material (10). An electrical resistance wire (9) inside this cavity is used to generate heat which is transmitted by the inner cavity to the tubular object (2) inside the jacket. The insulation material joins the opposing sides of the cylinders together and has an elasticity provided by air or gas filled cells or bubbles, which absorb heat movement. The end pieces extend beyond the inner diameter of the inner cylinder in order to ensure the concentric position of the jacket relative to the tubular object. |
