PURPOSE: To provide a relatively reciprocatable power steering system by forming a mounting means which is to be mounted on a boat, and a propulsion unit which is mounted about a generally horizontal tilt axis and about a generally vertical steering axis. CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with a tilt tube 22 extending along a tilt axis 24, an elongated member 136 slidably housed in the tilt tube 22 for relatively axial movement to the tilt tube 22, and an extendible and contractible hydraulic assembly 52 having the first end adapted to be connected to a boat, and the second end connected to a propulsion unit 32 for causing pivotal movement of the propulsion unit 32 about a steering axis 34. This device is also provided with a valve means 68 which includes a valve housing 70 which is fixedly-connected to the second end of the hydraulic assembly 52 and a spool 102 relatively-reciprocatable, a part 40 pivoted to a member 136, a part 142 pivoted to the spool 102, and a link member 138 having a part 144 pivotally connected to the housing 70. |
