The invented hinge (2) for a cover (3) or a tilting side wall (1) of a container is provided with at least one axially inserted connecting pin (4) being arranged all over the length of the hinge (2) that is mounted in the container solid part, particularly in the side wall (1), and is joined with the cover (3) or the side wall (1) by means of articulated joint. In closed state of the cover (3) or the side wall (1) both the front and rear end of the connecting pin (4) are covered with material (8) of the container solid part to which the cover (3) or the side wall (1) is attached by means of articulated joint.
