PURPOSE: A device for preventing backup mis-operation of a manual transmission of a vehicle is provided to prevent backup mis-operation of a manual transmission and to reduce production cost by using compact structure. CONSTITUTION: A first and s second stoppers(81,82) are protruded from a shaft void partition(80) of a transmission control shaft of a body housing. A control finger(62) axially moves and rotates by the movement of the transmission control shaft by a spring pin. A crank lever(90) is integrally protruded with the control finger. A tensile torsion spring(91) is retained between the crank lever and the shaft void partition. A shifting control cam(100), the crank lever and the stoppers collaborate to prevent direct backup in a fifth speed range.
