PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that screening performance is reduced due to scattering of a lot of grains to the outside of a harvester body by separating air, i.e., by generating a lot of third loss, since substances to be screened are usually screened with the same separating air as that used in a reaping and threshing work and, in case of turning of the harvester body at corners during the reaping and threshing work, cereal stems are not fed to a threshing chamber, thus, the substances to be screened which fall down from the threshing chamber to a lower screening unit are remarkably reduced. SOLUTION: This screening controller of a combine harvester is constituted by installing a suction port 29 in the front part of a winnower 18 for passing screening air in a screening passage, a shutter 30 provided to the suction port 29 and capable of being opened and shut and controlling the amount of inlet air into the winnower 18 and closing the shutter 30 depending on a turning operation in turning the harvester body or a reaping up operation before the turning in reaping and threshing operations and reducing the revolution of the winnower to equal to or less than a predetermined value.
