The portable X-ray generator consists of an X-ray tube and a cooling device. The cooling device comprises a radiator (13) fixed to the anode section (12) of the X-ray tube (1). The radiator has an arrangement of parallel ribs (15) in a plane parallel to the length axis of the anode (12) and cooled by a fan (14). The radiator is in two halves. The ribs are circa 4mm wide, and at a separation of 2 to 4 mm. The radiator is an aluminium casting. |
