PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair in which a foot-rest base can be accommodated without representing an obstacle by making the foot-rest base collapse forward of a seat part and further rotating it to be accommodated below the seat part upon its collapse. SOLUTION: In a chair having a seat part 1 and a foot-rest base 4 collapsing forward of the seat part 1 by a forward collapsing means 5, a forward collapsing operation of the foot-rest base 4 by the forward collapsing means 5 and an accommodating operation for rotating and accommodating the foot-rest base 4 in the lower position of the seat part 1 can be continuously carried out. The foot-rest base 4 is accommodated in the lower part of the seat part when it is not required to prevent an adverse influence due to the protruding part of the foot-rest base 4.
