PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve those troubles wherein since a guide hole is narrow, when cut by a drill, a risk in which the drill is broken is high, then cutting must be carried out slowly, and productivity becomes bad; even when a chuck body is molded resin, a thin core pin sometimes is bent by a resin pressure or the like, and a productivity is further deteriorated thereby; furthermore when the guide hole is formed by being even slightly bent, a core is obstructed midway and an action for drawing out the core comes to be obstructed. SOLUTION: A chuck body of a mechanical pencil is provided wherein for the chuck body arranged in front of a core tank, a core-inserted through-hole of the almost same diameter as a diameter of the core or a slightly larger diameter than that is formed, and a through-hole of a slightly larger diameter than that of the core-inserted through-hole is continuously formed to a rear end part of the chuck body in the core-inserted through-hole.
