SHAPED SECTION COATED WITH GRAINED THERMOPLASTIC RESIN FOAM, AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shaped section coated with a thermoplastic resin foam having a natural woodlike grained pattern and a texture (feel of the natural wood) as well as a method for manufacturing the shaped section. SOLUTION: The discharge aperture part 3 of a mold is structured of an outer mold part 4 having a plurality of grooved recessed parts 9 formed at a specified interval on the inner peripheral face and an inner mold part 6 arranged in the outer mold part 4. Further, a molten resin is discharged from a ribbed cylindrical discharge aperture between the outer mold part 4 and the inner mold part 6 while the positions of the outer mold part 4 and the inner mold part 6 are relatively changed to each other. Next a ribbed cylindrical resin foam 10 extruded is molded under pressure on a shaped section using a roll to coat the shaped section with the foam 10. Thus it is possible to manufacture, with high productivity, the shaped section coated with a thermoplastic resin foam having a similar fluctuation to such as seen in a natural wood and a similar woodlike feel and a similar warmth to the surface of the natural wood, using the described method.
