PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mount throwaway tips on tip mounting seats with ease and precision. SOLUTION: The tip mounting seat 4 is delimited at the point of a tool body 2 by a bottom 4a for receiving an underside 11 of a throwaway tip 6, and a side wall 4b for receiving two of a plurality of mounting planes 15 formed on a side 13 of the throwaway tip 6. The bottom 4a is defined to meet a first and a second reference mounting plane 31a and 31b, which are each one face on the periphery of a projecting part 21 at the point of the tool body 2, while forming practically straight edge lines e with them. The first and second reference mounting planes 31a and 31b are oriented in the same directions as receiving faces 22b and 22a of the tip mounting seat 4 so as to position two of the mounting planes 15 of the throwaway tip 6 mounted on the tip mounting seat 4.
