PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of treating industrial wastes, which is capable of separating and recovering molten metal M molten out by melting from slag S when metal containing industrial wastes W1, W2 are introduced into a rotary kiln 2 and molten. SOLUTION: The basicity (weight ratio of CaO/SiO2) of slag is controlled so that the melting temperature of slag S being produced by melting becomes not more than 1,400 deg.C.
