OPEN SHOWCASE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an open showcase which has an improved illuminance in the upper most shelf without increasing power consumption in response to the requirement for the narrowing down of display products and the increase in the size of a rear face mirror in the case. SOLUTION: An equalizing plate 11 nearly vertically extended to separate a cool air blowout port 3 from the inside of a case is installed at its lower end with a shade 13 so extended downward as to be nearly on the same plane with the equalizing plate 11. On the back of the shade 13, a lamp 16 for illuminating the inside of the case is installed. Even if the distance between a ceiling plate 9 inside the case and the most upper shelf 7a is large, the most upper shelf 7a can be illuminated well since the lamp 16 is lowered.
