PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handloom enabling easy warping and capable of performing the adjustment of the tension of warp and the beating work in weaving in extremely high workability. SOLUTION: The handloom is composed of a frame 1 and a rod-shaped warp-opening tool 6 produced by the monolithic molding of a plastic. The longitudinal bars 1a, 1b of the frame 1 are held parallel to each other with a flat plate 2 placed between the bars and the lateral bars 1c, 1d of the frame 1 act as a warp-holding frame. The warp-opening tool 6 has a number of essentially rectangular small plates 7 monolithically molded parallel to each other in longitudinal direction interposing definite gaps with a rod-shaped core material 10 placed in the middle of the plates. The core material 10 is protruded to the left minor side or the right minor side at a specific ratio between the adjacent two small plates 7.
