PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To knit inner socks type hosiery which is considered as impossible to knit by a conventional hosiery knitting technique. SOLUTION: This method for knitting inner socks type hosiery 1 comprises making a cylinder cam 5 of an automatic hosiery knitting machine reciprocate and turn by half in contact with a cam ring 9, vertically moving knitting needles 7 with a 1F stitch cam 10 and a 1F knitting raising cam 10a arranged on the inner peripheral surface of the cam ring 9, knitting a foot covering part 2, then vertically moving the knitting needles 7 with a 2F stitch cam 11 and a 2F knitting raising cam 11a and a 4F stitch cam 13 and a 4F knitting raising cam 13a and knitting a wearing hole 3 when the inner socks type hosiery 1 comprising the foot covering part 2 covering the outer periphery of a foot including the tiptoe 1a, the heel 1b and the foot sole 1c and the wearing hole 3 opened and formed in the instep part 1d.
