SOLUTION: This washing apparatus for washing a plant raising container 1 is constructed by parallelly arranging plural concaved raising parts 1b on a base board 1a. Rotary brushes 4 formed by placing brushes 3 on a shaft 2 in such a manner that the brushes protrude in a radial state are installed, a water sprayer 11 is placed on the rotary brush 4 or in a vicinity of the rotary brush 4, the rotary brush 4 is placed on the side of the opening 1b' of the raising parts 1b of the plant raising container 1 to be washed, the length of the brush 3 of the rotary brushes 4 is at least as it reaches the inside of the concaved raising part 1b, and the brush 3 of the rotary brushes 4 has such hardness that it can transport the plant raising container 1 when it is engaged with the concaved raising part 1b.
