PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new material to be used for separation and purification of gas. SOLUTION: For example, a precursor compound expressed by formula I is hydrolyzed, the obtained gel is metalated with CuCl2 or the like to obtain a metalated gel. The metalated gel is useful for oxygen absorption or the like. Further, this can be used for production of pure oxygen or removal of oxygen from air.
