PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink image receiving sheet forming a color image of superior gradation reproducibility including variable performance, dot reproducibility and color sharpness and also of superior writing properties. SOLUTION: An ink image receiving sheet is used in an image forming method in which an ink image receiving sheet and an ink surface of a thermal transfer sheet provided with a heat melting ink on a base are overlapped together, and the ink is melted by the heat provided from the back of the thermal transfer sheet onto a thermal transfer printer head, and the ink is transferred onto the surface of the ink image receiving sheet to form an image, and the ink image receiving sheet is provided with an ink acceptive layer of a porous structure formed by the wet solidification process, and the ink acceptive layer is constituted of a binder resin and an aragonite type calcium carbonate as main components. |
