PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent corrosion of a throttle body, and to secure smooth movement of a throttle valve all the time. SOLUTION: The throttle body 20 is stored inside an intake chamber 23, in an engine 3 for a small planing boat 1 arranged in a lower part of a seat 5 of the boat 1 and constituted to introduce intake sucked into the intake chamber 23 into an engine body 3A through the throttle body 20 and an intake passage 13. In the engine 3, since the throttle body 20 is stored inside the chamber 23, sea water and the like are not deposited on the throttle body 20, the corrosion of the body 20 is prevented without providing special structure for coutermeasure, and the smooth movement of the throttle valve is secured all the time.
