PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slant type internal combustion engine in which the axis of a cylinder is inclined with respect to a horizontal surface, an opening having a substantially horizontal flange surface 7a therearound is formed in the lower surface of a first oil pan 6 attached to the lower surface of a crank casing 2a, and a second oil pan is attached to this flange part of the opening, and in which vertical disturbance of lubrication oil in the second oil pan is reduced, and the oil pan is molded by die-casting. SOLUTION: A first oil pan is integrally incorporated at its inner part with a baffle plate 9 partitioning the inside of a second oil pan with respect to the second oil pan, the baffle plate 9 being substantially parallel with a flange 7a around the opening part, or being inclined upward toward the flange casing as viewed in the axial direction of the crank casing.
