PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To implement sealing to prevent spillage of viscous fluid with simple and low-cost structure in a spindle motor with a dynamic pressure bearing. SOLUTION: Tapered portions 2a, 2b, 2c, 2d are disposed on an outer periphery of a shaft 2. Tapered anglesθ1,θ4 facing inward of a bearing are larger than tapered anglesθ2,θ3 facing outward of the bearing. The difference in tapered angle generates the difference in sealability caused by capillary phenomenon to prevent lubricating oil from spilling to the outside of the bearing.
