PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission device of a motorcycle capable of installing a speed reducer without increasing the line width of a drive shaft and reducing the capacity of a starting clutch. SOLUTION: This power transmission device of motorcycle is formed by transmitting a power from an engine 19 of an engine unit 18 to a rear wheel 45 through a V-belt type continuously variable transmission 20 and a drive shaft 43 of a swing arm unit 41 to rotate the rear wheel 45. An engine unit 18 having the V-belt type continuously variable transmission 20 formed integrally with each other is installed generally at the center part of a frame 2 forming a scooter 1 a starting clutch 46 is installed on the swing arm unit 41, and a planetary gear speed reducer 47 is provided between the starting clutch 46 and a final bevel gear device 44 for rotating the rear wheel 45. The engine unit 18 is set generally at the center part of the frame 2, and the planetary gear speed reducer 47 is set utilizing a space between the starting clutch 46 and the final bevel gear device 44. Thus, the planetary gear speed reducer 47 can be installed without increasing the line width of a drive shaft 43.
