PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for hanging a rear cover of a rotary tiller by attaching the rear cover installed in the rear part of a tillage tine for rotatably digging the ground at a prescribed tillage width to a main cover by a linking plate made of a flexible elastic material such as a flexible resin and a rubber plate so as to be freely swingable as much as possible, so that, when the swing of the rear cover is too large because the unevenness of the ground is large or the tiller is driven fast, the swing may be controlled by heightening the spring force of a plate spring. SOLUTION: This device for hanging a rear cover 3 of a rotary tiller having a main cover 2 covering the upper part of a tillage tine shaft, the rear cover 3 covering the range between the rear part of the main cover 2 and the rear part of a tillage tine shaft, and a linking plate 4 for linking the rear cover 3 to the main cover 2 so as to be freely swung and having the nearly whole width of the tillage tine shaft and made of a flexible elastic material, has hanging plates 5 protruded rearward from right and left of the rear part of the main cover 2, and made of a batten plate spring material so that the protruded ends of the hanging plates 5 may be attached to the rear cover 3, supporting tools 7 attached to the intermediate part in the front and rear direction of the hanging plates 5 so that the supporting tools 7 may be fixed to or released from a fixed frame part 8 of the main cover 2.
