PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operability when a main flow joins in a valve device having a pilot flow amplifying poppet valve for controlling the main flow with the pilot flow. SOLUTION: A pilot valve 64 controls a pilot flow (q) discharged from a spring chamber 61 to an outlet chamber 59 after discharged from an inlet chamber 43 through a slot 45 of a poppet valve 42, and the spring chamber 61 is thereby controlled for pressure reduction so as to control the stroke of the poppet valve 42, and the main flow LQ discharged from the inlet chamber 43 to the outlet chamber 59 is thereby controlled. Opening area of an opening part 46 of the slot 45 opened in the spring chamber 61 is changed with the movement of the poppet valve 42. The slot 45 has a variable width part 45a formed so as to be wide at the opening part 46 when starting the opening and so as to be narrowed with the movement of the poppet valve 42 and a constant small width part 45b formed at a constant small width after the intermediate stroke.
