PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder capable of surely and easily fixing the inner circumferential part of diaphragm to the bottom of piston head without screwing the same in the circumferential direction of retainer. SOLUTION: A ring-like retainer 3 is fixed to a bottom of a piston head and is provided with a caulking claw 31 extending from the side of inner diameter. A gap portion of a diaphragm is fitted to the claw 31. The retainer ring 32 is fitted to hold an inner circumferential edge of the diaphragm and caulking of the claw 31 is made to thereby fix the inner circumferential edge thereof.
