PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a period capable of supplying ink to an ink container becomes short because air penetrates in the ink container along the inner wall surface of the ink container storing ink supplied to a recording apparatus. SOLUTION: The first liquid absorbing member 6 arranged on the side of an ink supply part 9 storing ink used in recording to supply the same to a head part 2 and the second liquid absorbing member 5 arranged on the side of an atmosphere communication part 11 in such a state that only one surface is in contact with the first liquid absorbing member 6 are housed in an ink supply container 1 having the ink supply part 9 and the atmosphere communication part 11 allowing the interior of the ink supply container to communicate with the atmosphere and the first liquid absorbing member 6 comprises a fiber aggregate of which the individual fibers are arranged in one direction and compressed in the direction crossing the fiber arranging direction and the fiber direction thereof is set along the contact surface with the second liquid absorbing member 5.
