PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel oil composition for internal or external combustion which is able to reduce the amount of a fuel and improve low temperature fluidity without impeding combustibility and exhaust gas properties and also a fuel oil composition for fuel oil C which is suppressed in formation of sludge and has a high calorie and a low viscosity. SOLUTION: The fuel oil composition for internal combustion, internal or external combustion or external combustion and fuel oil C comprises (I) 0.1 to 60 vol% of (A) a base having a boiling point of 140 to 220 deg.C, a dynamic viscosity of 1.5 mm2/second or below at 50 deg.C, a sulfur content of 30 ppm or below on the weight basis, an aromatic content of 90 vol% or over and a density (15 deg.C) of 0.87 g/ml or over and/or a base having a boiling point of 140 to 350 deg.C, a dynamic viscosity of 2.0 mm2/second or below at 50 deg.C, a sulfur content of 30 ppm or below on the weight basis, an aromatic content of 90 vol% or over and a density (15 deg.C) of 0.90 g/ml or over, and (II) 99.9 to 40 vol% of (B) a base for gas oil, A heavy oil or the like, or (C) a base for fuel oil C, thereby providing specific properties of individual fuel oil compositions.
