PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a convenient sheet conveying device and an image forming device having no bad influence on a door on the device main body side. SOLUTION: In a multiple paper feed unit 120, an oil damper 140 providing a damping force against rotation of a gear is arranged in the vicinity of a hinge of a door 111. The oil damper 140 is inserted through a hole bored in the door 111 so as to be engaged with a fixed gear 141 arranged coaxially with the hinge in the door 111 for serving as a door side gear fixed in a device body.
