PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute printing after changing the size of an image to be printed to suit to the size of a paper set in a printer at a time when the size of the paper set in the printer is different from the size of a paper specified by a user. SOLUTION: In the printing device, a printing drive has a paper size comparison section (1) judging whether a specified paper size is the same as the size of a paper set in a printer, a paper size change confirmation section (2) asking the user for confirmation if an image to be printed should be changed to suit the size of the set paper at the time when the paper size comparison section decides that the specified size of paper is not the same as the size of paper set in the printer, and a paper size change section (3) changing the image to be printed to suit the set paper size at the time when the paper size change confirmation section receives a change permission from the user.
