摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clutch mechanism of an outboard engine capable of improving a gear shift feeling and sufficiently developing a detent function and a stopper function. SOLUTION: In this clutch mechanism of outboard engine, the rotating direction of a propeller shaft in a gear case is switched by the remote-control of a shift cam. The shift cam is rotatingly operated through a clutch rod and a shift rod, and an assist device 17 to connect the clutch rod to the shift rod is disposed in the gear case. On the other hand, the assist device 17 comprises a rotating member 27 connected to the clutch rod and a rotated member 28 connected to the shift rod and allowing the rotating force of the rotating member 27 to be transmitted, and an elastic body 32 is provided between the rotating member 27 and the rotated member 28.
