PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a solid cosmetic which exhibits not only excellent transparency in the external appearance but also excellent storage stability and possesses strong strength when it is formed in a stick shape or a solid cosmetic which not only exhibits excellent transparency in the external appearance but also gives no greasy touch when applied to the lip and the other skin, gives fresh feeling after being applied, exerts excellent storage stability and possesses strong strength when it is formed in a stick shape. SOLUTION: This solid cosmetic is obtained by characteristically including a hydroxycarboxylic acid bearing a 9-34C alkyl group, a resin acid alcohol ester contained in resins and/or its ester derivative, a liquid oil and an amorphous fine-grain silicic anhydride with a particle diameter of 0.001-0.05μm or a spherical silicic anhydride with a particle diameter of 0.1-30μm.
