摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cushioning material which is a cushioning material comprising polyester fiber, having a voluminous feeling, causing a slight strain by a compression load and capable of restoring cushioning performance by carrying out a reheating treatment even when the cushioning performances are deteriorated due to a change with time. SOLUTION: This cushioning material made to the polyester fibers is a fibrous structure formed by mixing (A) the polyester fibers with (B) core-sheath type conjugate fibers using a low-melting component having a lower melting point than that of a core in a sheath, providing a nonwoven fabric and then heat-treating the resultant nonwoven fabric. The interstices among the respective fibers forming the fibrous structure are mutually fused by melting of the sheath part of the core-sheath type conjugate fibers. The initial cushioning performances are restored by carrying out a reheating treatment.
