PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic locking mechanism which can prevent a moving body from moving due to a shake of an earthquake, inclination by conveyance or others, using a simple constitution. SOLUTION: This mechanism is composed of pendulum-like engaging members 5L and 5R, supported axially and swingably by a frame body 1 and of an engaging member 14, having engaging parts 14a provided for sliding doors 11L and 11R moving in relation to the frame body 1. When the engaging members 5L and 5R tilt due to a quake or inclination and the engaging member 14 moves due to the same, the engaging parts 14a of the engaging member 14 engage with the engaging members 5L and 5R and obstruct the movement of the sliding doors 11L and 11R.
