摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate for a printing block, a printing block and a manufacturing method thereof for improving printing adaptability (water amount latitude), scumming and blanket scum and also provide the printing block using an image recording layer containing a heat fusion material (a wax or the like) of improved sensitivity and a manufacturing method thereof. SOLUTION: A substrate for a printing block is provided with a hydrophilic layer on a base, and the hydrophilic layer is provided with an area (pit shape or the like) of 0.2-50 μm average pitch having the film thickness thinner than the average film thickness. The hydrophilic layer is formed on the base, and then the hydrophilic layer is removed partially to manufacture the substrate for the printing block forming the above area. The hydrophilic layer containing the 0.2-10 μm average particle diameter is formed on the base, and then a part of the hydrophilic layer is removed to form the pit shape on the surface of the hydrophilic layer. The printing block is provided with the image recording layer and the hydrophilic layer having the above area.
