PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition furnished with excellent characteristics, and having an excellent gas barrier character, especially a barrier character to oxygen and carbon dioxide. SOLUTION: The resin composition comprises a melt blend of (A) 60-90 mass % of ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer with (B) 10-40 mass % of a blend of an ionomer with a semicrystalline polyamide. The ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer has an copolymerized ethylene content of 20-60 mol% and a saponification degree of at least 90%. The ionomer is included in an amount of 50-90 mass % in the ingredient B and has a free acid level of <7 mass %.
