PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a line up control device for a vehicle automatic transmission and a control method thereof to provide an effect improving various responsiveness by reducing the number of valves for controlling an oil pressure from conventional two to one. SOLUTION: Feed back of a part of line up fed to a friction element, such as a clutch, is effected to work it as an oil pressure to control a valve for controlling an oil pressure. A force on the whole is increased without changing a volume and the size of the valve for controlling an oil pressure. After an oil pressure generated by decreasing the number of the valves for controlling an oil pressure from conventional two to one and a generating oil pressure is controlled one time, it is immediately fed to each friction element and various responsiveness is improved through direct control.
