PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nozzle orifice which is of a high accuracy and highly functional design (deflected orifice) by a highly productive working method. SOLUTION: An orifice 11 which has an edge-shaped end face on the downstream side of the orifice 11 and also has an overall shear plane as an inner face, is formed by working a nozzle blank by extrusion (or half-trimming) from the downstream side of the orifice 11 with the help of a punch 12 having almost the same diameter as the orifice 11. Next, in order to form the orifice 11 entirely through the blank, an extruded part 10a generated by the extrusion working procedure (or the half-trimming procedure) is removed from the upstream side of the orifice 11 by machining. Further, in the case of a nozzle with a valve seat, such a working procedure as to perforate the orifice 11 all through simultaneously with the machining of a valve seat part 10c, is taken from the viewpoint of dimensional relationship. Consequently, it is possible to easily manufacture not only the nozzle having the orifice 11 formed in the same direction as a nozzle axis but also the deflected orifice tilted to the axis with high accuracy using a plastic working process and at a low manufacturing cost and a high productivity.
