SOLUTION: A metal catalyst particle 1 is made by using a fine seed crystal 2 having excellent dispersibility to prepare only a fine carbon fiber 4 having the same degree of dimension. A substrate 3 is dissolved to simply and effectively recover the carbon fiber 4.
