PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a body supporting device easy to continuously use for a long time, capable of easily adjusting a movable supporting means and simple to operate, and to provide its usage. SOLUTION: A body supporting device which has a back rest means arranged so as to rise and fall in the direction of its height and incline in the direction of its width, the back rest means having a movable frame associated with a fixed frame in a rising/falling manner and a plurality of expansible air cushion portions laid between the movable frame and the fixed frame so as to be isolated from one another in the cross direction of the movable frame, and its usage. The body supporting device has a driving means and an operating means for operating a movable supporting means and an angle detecting means for detecting the rising and twisting angles of the movable supporting means.
