PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mount a variable valve system capable of reducing a lift amount in an intake stroke of a suction valve and a lift amount in an exhaust stroke of the valve, by simple constitution. SOLUTION: The first cam for opening the suction valve in the intake stroke and the second cam for opening the valve in the exhaust stroke are arranged in a can shaft, a power transmission member 13 is interposed between the cams and the suction valve, the member 13 has the first abutting part 132a brought into contact with the first cam and the second abutting part 132b brought into contact with the second cam, the first abutting part 132a is pushed in upto a prescribed position by releasing fixiation to reduce the lift amount in the intake stroke of the suction valve by the first cam, and the second abutting part 132b is pushed in upto a prescribed position by releasing fixiation to reduce the lift amount in the exhaust stroke of the suction valve by the second cam. |
